Systems Engineers | BAE SYSTEMS Inf&Elec Sys Intg | Owego, NY

General Description
  • Integration and Test Lead
  • Define Test Cases, Test Plans, and Test Procedures
  • Stakeholder for Subsystem Requirements and Software Requirements
  • Stakeholder for SW Design and Code reviews
  • Stakeholder for SW integration - SW integration procedure reviews, review of SW integration test results, and responsible for formal SW acceptance into the System Integration Lab.
  • As part of the multidiscipline thread team, development of Integration
  • Procedures and System Integration Demonstration (SID) procedures
  • Lead Integration Test effort in System Integration Lab
  • Execution of the System Integration Procedures and System Integration
  • Demonstration (SID) procedures, and associated test result reports
  • Provide weekly Status reports as required

Technical / Domain Skills (Required)
Performs one or more of the following systems engineering functions: a. Develops, allocates and manages complex system level requirements. b. Reviews, develops and documents complex system level operational concepts and mission statements. c. Researches and develop complex system designs and architectures. d. Evaluate complex systems designs and architectures and recommends design modifications to eliminate design flaws that do not support the systems requirements. e. Analyzes and prepare documentation for complex systems designs and architectures in accordance with established system development processes and procedures. f. Develops and analyzes complex algorithms. g. Performs system/product integration. h. Verifies and validates complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.

May be a member of a product quality team involved in causal analysis and resolution activities.

May be a group or task lead. If so, is responsible for scheduling, assigning work, reviewing the technical adequacy of work products, meeting cost and schedule for assigned group and interface coordination with other groups.

May produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standards.

May estimate systems cost and schedules by reviewing statements of work for new and revised projects Prepares and/or delivers basic customer and technical presentations.

May serve as a group lead, providing work direction to other employees on a regular basis.

B. Supervision Received
Receives limited direction. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in technical areas. Exercises considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results.

Technical / Domain Skills (Preferences)
May perform or support various specialty-engineering tasks; such as Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) analysis, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis or programs, project Safety Engineering tasks, and Training Development, for complex systems. May support site operations and sustainment activities at customer locations.

Assists upper management in identifying potential new products or business opportunities and defines associated program requirements. Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of directly related expereince or a Masters Degree and 7 years of directly related expereince Technical / Domain Skills (Required)

TS Security Clearances will be required
